What To Expect:
Dr. Weinstein is pleased to be able to offer his patients a new fast and minimally invasive outpatient procedure for treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia). This new procedure requires 90 seconds and is an alternative to hormones or hysterectomy. The procedure is covered by many health plans.

Preprocedure:
No pre-treatment hormones are required and the procedure can be performed at any time during a woman's cycle. Under general or local anesthesia an electrode is placed thru the cervix and a radio frequency energy removes the lining of the uterus(endometrium).

Postprocedure:
Most Women are able to resume normal activities in a couple of days. This procedure results with most women experiencing light menses and in some women total cessation of menses occurs.
